The angels are here!

These are the delightful power angels that have kept my muse inspired and busy these past few months. Each angel has her own personality. They are made from textile spools that I bought on ebay and so in the bottom of the angel there is a little place to put an intent, or little prayer. Each angel has her own special power stone or crystal and is empowered by a Reiki blessing. I have used my favorite fibers and textile ephemera on these to make them sing and fly! They were originally going to take flight at Christmas, but it looks like they preferred a Spring flight.

... in various colors...

Here is a sample of the various colors the Gothic Arch holders I made.

Gothic Arches, at last...

Here is a quick photo of the long awaited Gothic Arches project I hosted. I am happy with how they turned out... but I got socked with work so it took me a very L-O-N-G time to finish them. Good thing all my fellow swapees were as patient as saints!

Dragonfly art

I have always loved dragonflies... there is something truly magical about them. Naturally I jumped at the occasion to play in this shaped book round robin. Here are a couple spreads I did in one of the books. Can't remember what I did in mine.

Altered hands

Here are a couple fun spreads I recently did in a shape book round robin. The owner asked us to answer what our hands held. I loved playing with this book!

Little white bird

Here is a little one page white bird that I did for a round robin. The theme was color. Bet you can't guess what color I chose... :)

Fun art quilts

I love fabrics and sewing. I had fogotten how much I love working with fabric. It is such a fun medium and sewing such a delightful way of "gluing" things together! Here are a couple art quilts I made recently. One was for a tea friend and the other, well it is still unfinished, but I found the techinigue - random pieces of material - so freeing that I can't wait to do more!

Felt-beaded necklace

Here is a fun necklace I made out of felt beads, which I then beaded. The possibilities are endless! I think I may string them further apart however, and finish the ends with crochet - but first I have to learn how to crochet ;)
This is another fun idea from creative Chaska Peacock!

Love inspired art

This is little piece I made for my DH for our wedding anniversary. I wanted to do something with words and thought and thought... but could not find the right support. Then a good friend send me a lovely stash of delightful objects and this CD cover was one of them. It was exactly what I needed. I used markers for the outside. My hubby is a real flower child. And I wrote in my favorite lettering inside. He keeps it on his desk ;) which makes me happy, almost as happy as it made me to make it!

Above is the front view, and below, the back view.

The month of May

Below is the lovely month of May calendar page created by Michelle Geller. I have yet to post January through March, but I will, promise. Admire the beautiful flowers and the harmony of color! I love it. Thanks, Michelle!
